Vancouver’s 2010 Celebration of Light Fireworks Festival

Transport Canada and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) want to remind all recreational boaters to take extra care and caution during the 2010 Celebration of Light fireworks festival in English Bay on July 21, 24, 28 and 31st.

Traditionally, more than 1,000 boats fill English Bay for each night of the event. In order to help improve safety, Transport Canada and the VPD request that boaters take some extra time to prepare before heading out for the fireworks. Double-check that all safety equipement is on board, all navigation lights are working and that you are familiar with the area.
